We love to make things at May Designs either as a team building exercise, a fun seasonal activity or even to create designs for our actual products! From tie dye to alcohol inks, here is a round up of all of our DIY projects!

THANKSGIVING DOWNLOADS

Each year, May Designs has created free printable downloads for you to easily print out gratitude prompts, banners to hang, place cards and more!

Choose from your favorite pattern line up - or mix and match to create your own special collection, perfect for your hosting color palette.

HAND PAINTED BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE: THANKSGIVING HOSTESS GIFT

DIY hand painted champagne bottle for the perfect hostess gift!

step by step instructions

  1. Grab a bottle of your favorite wine. We found mini bottles of Veuve Clicquot and fell in love with the smaller size for a hostess gift.
  2. Tape off the labels and the top - everywhere you don't want to paint.
  3. Spray paint the entire bottle, including the tape! You can also use chalk paint.
  4. Using acrylic paint, create some base layers for the florals and leaves.
  5. Once the paint is dry, go back in and add some details to the florals and foliage!
  6. After everything is fully dry, peel off the tape for the perfect reveal. This is the most satisfying part of the entire DIY project!
  7. Use our free Thanksgiving downloads to select your favorite pattern. We used the "table tent" PDF and only used the front half of the design. We added "Happy Thanksgiving" with a thin sharpie marker.
  8. Punch a hole in the corner and add a velvet ribbon to attach to your bottle for the perfect touch!
